And Now The Moment You've All Been Waiting For.....

Drum roll please!!!!! Brexton went up with Brinton and Cote on Monday to snowboard for the first time. Brinton has been anticipating this moment his entire 4 and some change month existence! He was in a class with 6 year olds and his instructor told Brinton that he did pretty good, but mainly had snow ball fights the hole time HA! You should have seen how proud he was just to go in the first place and then how stoked he was to tell me about his ride on the chair lift. I love the picture of him and Cote all dressed up and ready to shred the nar! Looks like Brinton will have a hard time getting out of this house with out the troll for snowboarding from now on. Not to discredit Cote though, Brinton said he has become an expert rider himself and it is like boarding with an adult! Go Cote!!!

Haircuts and Indo Boards

Our lovely friend Hillary or shall I say as Cote calls her Hi Lary! came over to give Brinton an emergency hair cut last Sunday and ate dinner with us. The festivities after dinner were us trying out the new rocker board Brinton got for Christmas. Even with a broken tail bone Hillary conquered it! Spinning perfect 180's in a matter of seconds. You Rock!! That board is so much fun to ride I have to toot my own horn and say that I too can actually do a 180 degree rotation too! I know what a phenomenon right!

The Bandit Strikes at Mid Day!

The bandit has unleashed again. Every morning we let Cote make his lunch for school as part of his daily responsibilities. Brexton waited until I was upstairs getting my clothes on and thought that would be the perfect time to make his lunch. He also thinks that since Cote gets to take his lunch to school, that he too needs to put his lunch in his back pack and take it to preschool. The pictures don't really do this justice because I was horrified when I came downstairs to take the kid to school and this is what I saw aside from him shoveling as much bread as he could in his mouth to hide the evidence. Good ol' Brexton.
While I am writing about him I have to record a little story about him, while we were driving last night we were talking about how we want to get chickens so we can eat the eggs they lay. Brexton piped up from the third row" Chickens? I want five cats mom, and I am going to dress them all up. Some like Police Officers and some like Fire fighters". He rambled on about him and his cat circus the entire way home!

Take Five.....or 14

Every once in a blue moon I have a candy bar I just can't live with out. When I was pregnant with Nixin is was almond snickers. Loved loved loved the cookies n mint Hershey bar when it existed. Well, right now I LOVE these little babies! We drove around the other night to 3 different stores in search of them, because Hershey's has an evil way of making the candy bar I love disappear. I have been trying to fill the void with out them by eating any other chocolate I can get my hands on, but it just hasn't been doing it. So, last night Brinton had to run somewhere and I told him not to come back until he found them. Well he went to 5 different stores/gas stations and bought the entire box from Walgreens. Now all I have to worry about is self control(not one of my strong points with chocolate).

First Snowboarding Trip This Season

The boys took their first snowboarding trip of the season up at snowbowl in Flagstaff. Brinton took our little neighbor boy Kai. Cote tore it up from what I heard, when B tried to tape him for me he fell over. Ju-Ju wanted to make sure his pants could withstand the force of anything! And this cute little muffin(no not juju) is Nixin with full on pigtails in her hair. She fought hard but I won!

Christmas Letter 2009

Dear Friends and Family,
I have been so not outgoing this holiday season and decided not to send out cards and Christmas letters. I also didn't make treats for my neighbors. I know what a bummer! But, I still wanted to post my annual Christmas letter for all to read and enjoy. This year has been one of those years that we have learned a lot from and we feel like we have been extremely blessed.
Brinton graduated from ASU with a bachelors in Business Management a couple of weeks ago. He has been quite busy as he decided to move forward full steam ahead and take a full load and work full time the last two semesters so he could finish. He works for the bank still but has moved to the AG department for credit analyst and is learning quite a bit. He was able to make some good snow boarding trips with Cote this last winter and is looking forward to teaching a new padawon this year(Brexton).
Charlotte is still teaching classes at the gym and personal training a few people during the week. I keep myself busy and time has been flying so I have nothing to complain about.
Cote is 8 turning 9 in April. He had a big year because he was baptised in April. He is in third grade with Mrs. T and likes her and all his new little friends. He still likes to snowboard and has taken up bmx biking. (he is hoping to get a sweet new bike for his birthday). He enjoys going to scouts every week and does a great job helping me around the house.
Brexton is 4 and very cunning and sweet. He loves to get every toy he owns and and play for hours, but when asked to clean up crumbles in defeat( we are working on that). He too is taking a big interest in snowboarding and is hoping to go with the boys at least once this year. He goes to preschool with Mrs. N three days a week and loves it. He is almost to the point of writing his name and telling you how to spell it. ALMOST it depends on the day and what you are offering him in return. He is a great help with Nixin and a good boy, when you are watching him!
Nixin turned 1 this last October and crawls around the house after her brothers. She enjoys long climbs up the stairs and trying to break through the gates we put up for her. She is one I will have to put child locks on my cabinets as she gets into all of them constantly! She was the best table food eater for about a month and now she is super picky like Brexton and won't eat fruit or veggies. I know who's kids are these???
We love our kids so much and are so thankful for the health we have had this year. No major difficulties or problems. Now that we are done with school, we have the next step to figure out. We have two choices in mind but are taking a little break before we make the major decision. We hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday!
