Exclusive Zoo Trip

Brinton's Grandma Ina volunteers at the zoo and is always kind enough to get us a season pass every year, which we LOVE! This year they opened up a new exhibit with Komodo Dragons. It was super cool! They can be up to 9.8 feet long and can weigh up to 150lbs. They are lethal weapons, meaning they can take down a water buffalo and can sprint up to 20 mph in a split second.

Cote was touching the sting rays at Sting Ray Bay

Here we have two cute little dragons sitting on top of the Komodo Dragon Statue

Up close and personal, super cool. I wonder if the zoo keepers actually handle them because they have bacteria in their saliva that helps them digest bones. You know so they can eat the entire prey hooves and all.

notice the size!

The Crazy Boy

Here we have a little something Brexton did when I told him to clean up the dvds that his little sister got out. I fell asleep on the couch and when I woke up this is what I saw. How in the right mind does he come up with this perfect rectangle???

Brexton has a lot of posts about him because he is a very peculiar guy.
In this picture, he has woken up at 5am and insisted he was hungry. I was on my way out the door and put a movie in for him. When I came back this is what I saw, him in his wolverine costume watching x men.

Trick... Yeah right!

Here are the Colburn Halloween costumes for 2009. We have Richard Simmons and Jane Fonda, Wolverine, Storm Shadow and a wee cute little pirate. We went to our ward trunk or treat and then headed off to Brannon and Amandas for some cotton candy. Fun Night and you know that nobody will be able to forget our costumes.

Have You Ever Pulled A Jet?

For the last few months Brinton has been working for the United Way and helping with this years campaign. He gets great opportunities to help with fun events like this one. On Friday I was able to go along and help too. US Airways has a huge kick off campaign and it is the jet pull. You get a team of 20 people together and whoever can pull the jet down the runway the fastest wins! I have to say, it was harder than I thought for sure. Our Team walked away with 7.4 seconds and the winners were a full second faster. ( they were HUGE guys) we had skinny people and some help from the winning team to give us a fighting chance. We were also able to hang out with a friend of ours that we haven't seen in a while and he let us go and check out the 747 and even walk up inside it and sit in the captains seat! All in all super radness!

Birthday Troll

Brexton had his 4Th birthday on Thursday. He was so excited to open his presents that he woke up at 5:15am to open them! He had a little birthday party with his friends on Saturday, and the theme was GI Joe. He received some really great gifts from his buddies. Brexton also received the ultimate gift from his G momma that he has been asking for, for a long time, a tank. Not just any ordinary tank but a base for all his army guys and vehicles. He plays with it all day and then wakes up and starts to play with it right when he wakes up in the morning. Thank you to everyone who sent cards/gifts his way he loved them all.

Some of Brextons 4 year old stats

- He loves to ride his bike and is getting quite good at it
- His favorite color is orange
-He is still very sneaky
-He can pretty much outsmart anyone yep that means you!
- He acts like he hates to play with Nixin, but when nobody is looking he plays really well with her
- If you ask him his colors/numbers and alphabet he messes up on purpose so you stop asking him questions, then he will spat off all this information on his own.
- He eats peanut butter and jelly almost everyday
-vegetables make his throat itch(not really and we are putting the hammer down on that lately)
- He can ride his scooter very fast
- He asks his mother for a cat or dog everyday! I tell him I am allergic to steer him away but it doesn't work!
We love the troll, and if you know him you know why he is called that. He keeps us on our toes at all times and makes me not know weather to laugh or yell everyday.
